With 12 teams in our league playing 14 regular season weeks, you can't play 11 opponents evenly across 14 games. This means each team will face 3 teams twice during the regular season. Rather than randomly decide those repeat opponents, the JFL is split into 3 divisions of 4 teams. Each team will play their divisional opponents twice, and the rest of the league once.
Each division is built based on real world connections. You're grouped with the people you know best, so you play the people you regularly interact with more often, resulting in a more memorable season.
Divisions are a scheduling tool only. Playoffs stay top 7 by overall record (see Standings & Playoffs).
